JOB TITLE: Design Team Member

DESCRIPTION: Join our small team and work on fun interior design projects. We design, check on construction, order furniture, check warehouses and install. Work closely with the Heartland Interior Design team to create unique spaces for our diverse clients across the United States. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, great communication skills, extremely organized, detail oriented and design obsessed.

Collaborate with the team to create, document, implement and execute designs. Communicate with the team, vendors, clients and subcontractors while managing the scope, budget and timelines. Contribute to the success and growth of the team through creative problem solving, flexibility and a positive attitude. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and follow through.

RESPONSIBILITIES will include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with Tara Miller on all phases of the design, construction and install. This includes CAD Drawings, sourcing, procurement and scheduling.

  • Drawing floor plans, elevations and reflected ceiling plans

  • Creating 3D renderings

  • Take notes during video chats

  • Communicating with team & vendors

  • Maintaining specification sheets

  • Work with the team to create presentation boards.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Interior Design or in a related field.

  • 2+ years of Interior Design Experience

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Photoshop

  • Extremely good at communicating

  • Willing to learn SketchUp

  • Extremely organized

  • Willing to ask questions (communication again)

  • Willing to travel

  • Flexible: no task is too high or beneath you. (Includes taking out trash & recycling packaging that our samples come in)

DETAILS OF POSITION:

-Job Type: Full Time. 40 hours / week

OR

-PART TIME job: 15-25 hours / week.
